Recent Ritz Carlton Pentagon Review: "The location is perfect. Metro access, taxi service from the hotel or the concierge can arrange limo service. The staff has remained stable over the years. They all remember my first name and make me feel like it is home. I love it and it is perfect for business travelers and families. I am not thrilled about the new decor. The old world charm was part of the draw and I don't see how trying to dumb down the look will exceed what they already achieved. Being in the interior and building business, somehow they have lost the vision of the Ritz Carlton. To do the interior in contemporary is one thing but they need a neo-classical look to carry off what is there already. Change is great, however, it has to be a "good change" somehow, orange-red carpet, yellow carpet in a dining roomrr How long will that last....there is such thing as commercial wood floors, etc. Anyway, other than that I will always stay there when I go to DC which is very often."
